Sunanna Chand

Chair of the board

Sunanna is an ever-curious connector with years of experience in network leadership. As the Executive Director of Remake Learning, she works to expand the capacity of educators in- and out-of-school to create, build, imagine, and wonder, so that they can design remarkable learning experiences for all youth. Sunanna has 10 years of experience in the field of education and earned an M.Ed in International Education Policy & Management from Vanderbilt University.


Caleb Turner

Vice Chair of the board, Chair of nominations

A recent transplant to the Pittsburgh area, Caleb is an attorney at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, with over 10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, regulatory defense and white-collar criminal defense. Before moving to Pittsburgh, Caleb worked at a multinational law firm in New York. Over the course of his legal career, Caleb has regularly provided pro bono legal services to women and children. A Vermont native, he is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Virginia School of Law.  


Thomas Powell


A transplant to the Pittsburgh area, Thomas is a Commercial Support Specialist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. With over nine years of experience in the retail, small business, and commercial banking sectors Thomas has always dedicated himself to improving the financial health of his clients. In his current role, he supports medium size corporations with access and guidance related to credit and treasury products.  In addition to his board service at TDC, he serves on the finance committee of Chatham Baroque. A Philadelphia native, Thomas earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Drexel University.



Steve Fulton


A Pittsburgh native, Steve split his 25-year legal career between Reed Smith LLP and Respironics, where he served as General Counsel. In retirement, Steve spends his “engaged” time helping young companies to grow and prosper and mentoring young people. For the past eight years, Steve has served as Attorney Coach for the Penn Trafford High School Mock Trial Program. In his free time, Steve loves to fish and garden. He views The Door Campaign as an opportunity to marry these two passions while educating young students. Steve has degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (Engineering) and Harvard Law School.



Ryan Scott

Chair of education

As a native of the greater Pittsburgh area, Ryan is no stranger to the culture of the city and strives to assist the youth of this community to reach their full potential through his lifelong devotion to education. He is the Senior Program Director of Education Initiatives at the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh & Co-Director for the Black Male and Female Leadership Development Institutes (BMLDI), a program of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University, and (BFLDI) a program of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and The Pennsylvania State University Greater Allegheny Campus.  His work provides resources and gives advice and youth development to more than 800 students in the region.  



Jasmine Bennings

Member, former Chair

With over 7 years of experience as a Certified Treasury Professional, Jasmine is the Product Manager for the PNC Bank Treasury Management team. In addition to her role on The Door Campaign board, she serves as the President of the Young Professional Advisory Committee (YPAC) of the Extra Mile Education Foundation, is a member of the ScoutReach Board for the Laurel Highlands Council of Boy Scouts of America and is an active member of the Go Red for Women committee of the American Heart Association.
